Rewards rulebook
How WilmyFit Crew rewards work, start to finish, with worked examples. The short version is on How Crew points work. If this page and your dashboard ever disagree, your dashboard shows what our system actually counted.

1. Getting started
- WilmyFit Crew is free. Sign in, then connect Strava from Your miles. Strava is how we see runs and workouts your watch or phone recorded.
- Manual entries never count. You can’t type in miles on WilmyFit, and activities you add to Strava by hand are ignored.
- Runs need to be real, device-recorded activities. Unusual runs are held for review, and a held run doesn’t count unless it’s cleared.
- Starter checklist: you get 1 bonus mile each, once per account, for connecting Strava, turning on alerts and your first check-in (3 miles total).
- Months and days follow New York time.
2. What counts as reward miles
Reward miles move you through the zones and decide your draw tickets. There are four sources:
| Source | How it’s credited | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Runs (run, trail run, virtual run) | Mile for mile, from Strava | No cap |
| Workouts recorded by a device: HIIT, strength, CrossFit, cycling, swimming, yoga, Pilates, walking, hiking, rowing and more | By time, not distance: 30 min = 3 reward miles (0.1 per minute) | 60 min a day (6 reward miles). Workouts under 10 minutes are skipped. |
| HYROX race results | Run miles + bonus miles × a finish-time multiplier, after approval | One credit per race. Bonus miles only for races in the last 90 days, and you can claim races from the past year. |
| One-time bonus miles | Starter checklist (1 mile per step) and referrals (5 miles) | Starter: once per account. Referrals: 10 max. |
- Rides count by time, not distance, so a long ride can’t rack up distance. E-bike rides don’t count (golf and sailing don’t count either).
- For indoor workouts with no GPS, the workout’s total elapsed time counts, up to 4 hours (the daily cap still applies).
- The daily cap fills in the order your workouts happened. Once you reach 60 minutes, later workouts that day still sync but earn nothing.
- Nothing counts twice. Runs earn miles as runs, never as workout minutes.
- HYROX: Open and Pro credit 5 run miles + 5 bonus miles. Doubles and Relay credit 2.5 run miles + 5 bonus miles. The multiplier applies to the bonus miles only. Current defaults: 2× under 1:15, 1.5× under 1:30, 1.25× under 1:45, otherwise 1×. Doubles and Relay times are 10 minutes faster: 1:05, 1:20 and 1:35. WilmyFit can adjust this table.
3. Points
Points are for showing up. They rank you on the Crew leaderboard and appear on your dashboard and in celebrations. Points never unlock rewards or add draw tickets.
| What you do | Points |
|---|---|
| Run with a run club (check in at a listed session) | +10 per run |
| First run with a new club | +25 once per club |
| Run with 3 or more different clubs in a month | +50 once a month |
| Device-recorded workout | 10 per 30 active minutes (1 per 3 minutes), up to 20 a day |
| Gym or studio class check-in (on site, during a scheduled class) | +10 per class, up to 2 a day |
| First visit to a new gym or studio | +25 once per gym |
| A friend joins with your invite link | +25 per friend |
- Workout points appear on your dashboard but don’t rank on the leaderboard.
- Run club check-in: be within 200 m of the club’s start pin, from 15 minutes before the start. Class check-in: be within 150 m of the gym’s check-in spot, from 15 minutes before the class until it ends. Some gyms also ask for a rotating code. We check your location once and keep only the distance, never your coordinates.
- WilmyFit can adjust the run club point values.
4. Zones and thresholds
| Zone | Goal | Counts |
|---|---|---|
| Boardwalk | 20 mi | This month’s reward miles |
| Riverwalk | 40 mi | |
| Loop | 60 mi | |
| Bridge | 100 mi | Your total reward miles (all time), plus at least 1 reward mile this month |
| Inlet | 250 mi | |
| Coast | 500 mi | |
| Battleship | 1,000 mi |
Each zone is a separate draw. If you reach several zones, you’re entered in each one.
5. The monthly draw
- Timing: each month’s draw runs automatically on the 1st of the next month (New York time). The first draw is Dec 1, 2026, for November miles.
- Boardwalk, Riverwalk, Loop tickets: 1 ticket for reaching the goal that month, plus 1 for every full 20 reward miles beyond it. Miles can earn up to 3 tickets.
- Bridge, Inlet, Coast, Battleship tickets: once your total reaches the goal, you’re entered every month you log at least 1 reward mile. You get 1 ticket, plus 1 for every full 20 reward miles that month. Miles can earn up to 3 tickets.
- Carry-over: +1 ticket if you were in that zone’s previous draw and weren’t drawn. It never stacks past 1. Max 4 tickets per zone.
- Welcome bonus: in the month you join, +1 ticket in the lowest zone you reach.
- How winners are picked: a weighted random order, so more tickets means better odds but never a guarantee. Going down that order, each member gets their top-ranked reward that still has stock. You can rank the rewards you’d like most on your dashboard. Each draw uses a random seed that we store along with everyone’s tickets, so anyone can recompute the result.
- Limits: one reward per member per zone per draw. You can’t win the same reward twice, or a reward from your own business. If no reward is left for you, you’re “not drawn” and get the carry-over ticket next month.
- Re-entry after a win: Boardwalk, Riverwalk and Loop: you’re back in next month as usual, but the reward you already won is skipped for you. Bridge, Inlet, Coast and Battleship: after a win, you re-enter that zone once your total grows by another full zone goal. Your other zones aren’t affected.
- Frozen accounts and WilmyFit’s owner account aren’t entered.
6. Grand Prize season
- Grand Prize seasons last 3 months (one calendar quarter). Season 1 is Jan 1 – Mar 31, 2027.
- There are 7 prizes: a shopping spree, a cruise getaway, a spa and recovery day, a cash card, a dream race trip, a gear-up package and Mom’s Weekend Off. Each is worth at least $1,500 and at most $5,000.
- Each prize can have one local sponsor per season, named as “The [Business] [Prize] Challenge.” The sponsor pays the prize value up front and WilmyFit gives the prize to the winner. Sponsors never change rankings or odds.
- Season miles are your reward miles from the season’s 3 months, under the same rules as above: runs mile for mile, workouts by time with the 60-minute daily cap, approved HYROX and one-time bonus miles.
| Season miles | Tickets |
|---|---|
| Under 25 | 0 (not entered) |
| 25 | 1 |
| 75 | 2 |
| 125 | 3 |
| 175 | 4 |
| 225 | 5 |
| 275 or more | 6 (max) |
- Qualify at 25 miles, more miles = more tickets: 1 ticket at 25 season miles, plus 1 for every additional 50, up to 6. 300 miles is the stretch goal on your progress bar.
- Free mail-in entry (no purchase necessary): mail a postcard or 3×5 card with your name, the email on your WilmyFit account (or the one you’d like us to use) and phone number, marked “Grand Prize” plus the season (for example “Season 1”), to: WilmyFit Grand Prize, [TODO for Khan: mailing address]. A mail-in entry is worth 1 ticket, one per person per season. It adds to any miles tickets, but the total still can’t go over 6. Mail-in entries must arrive before the season ends.
- The draw: after the season ends, WilmyFit runs one draw for all of that season’s prizes. It uses the same weighted, seeded method as the monthly draw, so more tickets means better odds but never a guarantee. Prizes are given out from the highest value down, and each goes to the next person in the drawn order. You can win only one Grand Prize per season. A sponsor’s own WilmyFit account can’t win its prize, and WilmyFit’s owner account isn’t entered. Everyone after the winners is ranked as an alternate. The seed and all tickets are stored so the result can be recomputed.
- Season-specific details, such as the winner response window, are posted with each season and govern that season.
7. Prizes, sponsors and winners
- Monthly rewards come from local healthy businesses (gyms, studios, physical therapy, recovery and more). The business sets each reward and how many it gives each month. Every prize is for local Wilmington residents only, and you need a driver’s license or proof of address to redeem it.
- Monthly rewards expire 30 days after the draw, or sooner if the business’s offer ends first. Redemption codes rotate every 60 seconds and work once.
- Taxes: for a prize worth $600 or more (every Grand Prize), the winner completes a W-9 and a short winner affidavit and release through a secure link before we send the prize. WilmyFit then files an IRS Form 1099 and sends you a copy. Winners are responsible for any taxes. Never send your Social Security number by email.
- Eligibility: WilmyFit Crew members 18+ who are local Wilmington residents. You need a driver’s license or proof of address to redeem.
- Gaming the system (fake activities, shared accounts, reselling prizes) gets your account frozen.
8. Referrals
- Share your invite link from your Crew dashboard. When a friend joins with it, you get +25 points.
- When that friend logs their first verified run, you both get 5 bonus miles. Bonus miles count toward zones and draw tickets.
- You can earn up to 10 referral bonuses. No self-referrals, and frozen accounts don’t earn them.
9. Worked examples
Example
A runner’s month: Maya (Example)
Maya runs 52 miles in November. She had 70 total reward miles before November.
- November reward miles: 52 (runs have no cap). Total: 70 + 52 = 122.
- Boardwalk (20): 52 − 20 = 32 extra miles → 1 full 20 → 1 + 1 = 2 tickets.
- Riverwalk (40): 52 − 40 = 12 extra → no full 20 → 1 ticket.
- Loop (60): 52 < 60 → not entered.
- Bridge (100 total): 122 ≥ 100, and she ran at least 1 mile this month. Tickets = 1 + floor(52 ÷ 20) = 1 + 2 = 3 tickets.
- Points: 8 run club runs × 10 = 80, plus 2 new clubs × 25 = 50, plus 3 different clubs this month = 50 → 180 points. Points don’t add any tickets.
Example
A gym-goer’s month: Dev (Example)
Dev doesn’t run. He joined in October, so he has no earlier miles. In November his watch records a 45-minute class on 18 days and a 90-minute session on 2 days.
- 45-minute days: 18 × 45 = 810 minutes, all credited (under 60).
- 90-minute days: capped at 60, so 2 × 60 = 120 minutes credited. The other 30 minutes each day earn nothing.
- Credited minutes: 810 + 120 = 930 → 930 × 0.1 = 93 reward miles.
- Boardwalk: 93 − 20 = 73 → 3 full 20s → 1 + 3 = 4, capped at 3 tickets.
- Riverwalk: 93 − 40 = 53 → 2 → 3 tickets. Loop: 93 − 60 = 33 → 1 → 2 tickets.
- Bridge: his total of 93 is under 100, so he isn’t entered yet. A few more workouts in December will get him there.
- Points: 930 minutes ÷ 3 = 310 workout points (dashboard only), plus 20 class check-ins × 10 = 200, plus a first visit to the gym = 25.
Example
A mixed member: Sam (Example)
In November Sam runs 30 miles, does twelve 30-minute workouts (on different days) and finishes HYROX Open in 1:28, which gets approved.
- Runs: 30 miles.
- Workouts: 12 × 30 min = 360 minutes → 36 reward miles. No day goes over 60 minutes.
- HYROX Open: 5 run miles + 5 bonus miles × 1.5 (under 1:30) = 5 + 7.5 = 12.5.
- November reward miles: 30 + 36 + 12.5 = 78.5.
- Boardwalk: 58.5 extra → 2 → 3 tickets. Riverwalk: 38.5 → 1 → 2 tickets. Loop: 18.5 → 0 → 1 ticket.
Example
A draw ticket calculation: Alex (Example)
Alex has 67 reward miles in November. He was in the October Boardwalk draw and wasn’t drawn.
- Miles tickets: 1 + floor((67 − 20) ÷ 20) = 1 + 2 = 3 (the maximum from miles).
- Carry-over: +1 → 4 tickets (the zone max).
- Say the Boardwalk draw has three people: Alex with 4 tickets, Bree with 2 and Cy with 1 (7 total). Alex’s chance of being drawn first is 4 ÷ 7 ≈ 57%. Bree’s is 2 ÷ 7 ≈ 29%, and Cy’s is 1 ÷ 7 ≈ 14%.
- The same thing happens in every zone Alex entered, with separate odds in each.
Example
Re-entry after a win: Jordan (Example)
- Jordan wins an Inlet (250) reward in the November draw, with 260 total reward miles.
- Jordan re-enters Inlet once the total reaches 260 + 250 = 510.
- Until then, Jordan stays in Bridge every month with at least 1 mile. Jordan also joins Coast once the total reaches 500, because a win in one zone doesn’t affect the others.
- Jordan also won a Boardwalk reward from a local studio. Jordan is back in the December Boardwalk draw as usual, but that studio’s same reward is skipped, so Jordan gets their next-ranked reward instead.
Example
A Grand Prize season: Riley (Example)
Season 1 runs Jan 1 – Mar 31. Riley runs 40 miles in January, 35 in February and 30 in March, and does twelve 45-minute workouts (on different days).
- Runs: 40 + 35 + 30 = 105 miles.
- Workouts: 12 × 45 min = 540 minutes (each under the 60-minute daily cap) → 54 reward miles.
- Season miles: 105 + 54 = 159.
- Tickets: 1 + floor((159 − 25) ÷ 50) = 1 + 2 = 3 tickets. The next ticket comes at 175.
- Riley also mails in a free entry card: 3 + 1 = 4 tickets (still under the max of 6).
- Tom (Example) mails in a card but logs no miles, so he has 1 ticket. With 4 tickets, Riley is 4 times as likely as Tom to be drawn first.
10. FAQ
Do points get me tickets?
No. Only reward miles affect zones and tickets. Points are for the leaderboard and celebrations.
I biked 50 miles. Why did I get 6 reward miles?
Rides count by time, not distance, and the daily workout cap is 60 minutes (6 reward miles).
Is there a cap on runs?
No. Run miles count mile for mile.
Can I log miles by hand?
No. Manual entries never count, here or on Strava.
Why wasn’t I drawn even though I qualified?
Each zone has a limited number of rewards each month. If you aren’t drawn, you get +1 carry-over ticket in that zone next month.
Can I win in more than one zone in the same month?
Yes. Each zone is its own draw, with at most one reward per zone.
How do I enter the Grand Prize without logging miles?
Use the free mail-in entry in section 6. It’s worth 1 ticket per season.
Do I owe tax on prizes?
Winners are responsible for taxes. For prizes worth $600 or more, we collect a W-9 and file an IRS Form 1099.
Who can win?
Members with an active account who live locally. You need a driver’s license or proof of address to redeem. Grand Prize eligibility is set in each season’s official rules.
